It does not seem long ago that co-founders Karl Schakel, CEO, Wayne Harding, Vice Chairman of the Board and Bob Terry, Director and Treasurer founded this remarkable company.  Mr. Harding may be better known to you as author of the book, The Extra 2% That Make Sales Happen.  He also earned noteworthy recognition as Co-Founder and President of Harding Glass.

Heritage was an outgrowth of a multimillion dollar international agri-business conglomerate called Western Agri-Management founded and still operated by Karl Schakel who serves as Chairman and CEO.  While Western had operations in more than a dozen countries including Egypt, Algeria, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela, Chile, Mexico, Paraguay, Jamaica, and Honduras, it is now designing operations in Poland, Bulgaria and Uganda.  Its team of professionals and technical associates coordinate the complexities of this global operation.  Because there is a strong profit motive for the locals in the projects, this company has truly been a leader in feeding the hungry of the world. 

Western's influence has touched every imaginable botanical resource, from fruits, to vegetables, to the mysterious herbs used in the third world countries commonly thought of as "Traditional Medicine".
